The United States of Syria: Domestic Lessons in a Distant War

Description and Prediction It’s a richly vibrant police-state. It’s ruled by a paranoid, self-pitying minority. The minority is trying to crush a rebellion by the dispossessed majority. That is a description of Syria. It’s also a prediction for the United States, the United Kingdom, France and other Western nations. The mainstream media are talking a lot about Syria nowadays. But one thing you won’t hear from the mainstream is this: the civil war in Syria demolishes the Three Great Lies on which the modern West is founded.

Lie #1: Diversity Is Our Strength Syria is a very diverse country, full of different ethnic and religious groups who have a long history of conflict and mutual hatred. That’s why it has to be a police-state: only harsh repression keeps the different groups from each other’s throats. At present, Bashar al-Assad is fighting to maintain his tyranny. His enemies are fighting to replace it with their own tyranny. And some would be happy to keep the pot boiling:

“Our ‘best-case scenario’ is that they continue to busy themselves fighting each other and don’t turn their attention to us,” an Israeli intelligence officer told BuzzFeed’s Sheera Frenkel. “Better the devil we know than the devils we can only imagine if Syria falls into chaos and the extremists from across the Arab world gain a foothold there,” the officer said. (The Horrifying Secret Of Syria Policy, Buzzfeed, 9th September, 2013)

Lie #2: Minorities Are Saintly Victims Liberal organizations like Amnesty International have been protesting for decades against the repression and torture used by the Syrian dictators Hafiz al-Assad and his son Bashar. But they don’t mention that the repression and torture are natural consequences of minority control. Since the 1960s, Syria has been ruled by members of a small and impoverished Shiah sect called the Alawi, who have a long history of persecution by the Sunni majority. When they came to power, the Alawi did not forgive, forget and govern for the benefit of everyone. Instead, they took the opportunity to enrich themselves and to persecute in their turn. The cycle of repression and resentment has inevitably ended in civil war. And if the rebels win, the prospect is for expulsion and genocide:  “Christians to Beirut, Alawites to the grave.

Lie #3: We Are All the Same Under the Skin Guided by Jewish Marxists like Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Lewontin and Steven Rose, the mainstream media peddle the lie that human beings are a post-genetic, post-biological species, superficially different but the same underneath, because genetic differences don’t affect the brain. In fact, genetic differences have huge effects on the brain. The inbreeding practised in Muslim countries like Syria promotes genetic disease, lowers average IQ and badly harms the ability to trust and co-operate with strangers:

Father’s Brother’s Daughter (FBD) marriage, the form of cousin marriage that leads to the most inbreeding, and that is still the preferred form amongst many Muslims, was probably already well established amongst the Arabs in Mohammed’s day. FBD marriage was probably introduced to the Arabs by Jewish tribes from the Levant who migrated into the Arab peninsula starting in the Second Century B.C. … My guess is that it’s not just the amount of consanguinity in a nation that negatively affects the success of democracy in that country, but the length of time the people have been practicing cousin marriage AND how close that cousin marriage is. … The evolution of “genes for altruism” comes into play here, not just the immediate genetic relatedness between the individuals in these societies, although it’s important, too. So, I would bet that democracy would fare the worst in the Levant, where FBD marriage originated, and the Arab peninsula, where FBD marriage has been present for so very long … Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman have the worst scores for democracy in the Muslim world (in the world!). (HBD-Chick, Consanguinity and Islam and Democracy, 7th March, 2012) (See also “Muslim inbreeding.”)

Inbreeding discourages co-operation between strangers but promotes hatred and violence. The liberals who wring their hands over the horrors of the war in Syria are also working hard to make Western nations more and more like Syria: full of minorities who are encouraged to resent and hate the White majority. Muslim rape-gangs are only one expression of that hatred, which will worsen as non-Whites grow in numbers and power. When Minorities Rule The West is also like Syria in that it is controlled by a paranoid, self-pitying minority (see Steve Sailer on Cass Sunstein’s “Jewish paranoia“). The Jewish historian Daniel Pipes has written several fascinating articles on Syria that I can strongly recommend to readers of the Occidental Observer. But they offer insights into much more than the Sunni rebellion against Bashar al-Assad. Reading them, I was struck again and again by parallels between the Alawis and the Jews:

For many centuries, the ‘Alawis [sic] were the weakest, poorest, most rural, most despised, and most backward people of Syria. In recent years, however, they have transformed themselves into the ruling elite of Damascus. Today, ‘Alawis dominate the government, hold key military positions, enjoy a disproportionate share of the educational resources, and are becoming wealthy. How did this dramatic change occur? When did the ‘Alawi manage to escape their traditional confines, and what was the mechanism of their rise? (Daniel Pipes, The Alawi Capture of Power in Syria, Middle Eastern Studies, 1989) The bulk of government spending has been concentrated in Latakia, the poorest region of Syria and the one where most ‘Alawis live. … Even U.S. aid has been funneled to Latakia. Government contracts have spawned a wholly new class — rich ‘Alawis. … ‘Alawis were traditionally maltreated by the Sunni majority, and their present behavior is widely perceived as revenge for centuries of abuse. (Syria After Asad, World and I, February 1987) In particular, two doctrines appealed to the ‘Alawis: socialism and secularism. Socialism offered economic opportunities to the country’s poorest community. (The Ba’ath [party]’s socialism was unclear, however, until the 1960s; only when the minorities took over did this feature became prominent). Secularism — the withdrawal of religion from public life — offered the promise of less prejudice to a despised minority. What could be more attractive to members of a downtrodden religious community than a combination of these two ideologies? (The Alawi Capture of Power in Syria)

The Alawis took advantage of Sunni disunity and slowly took control of key institutions like the army and Ba’ath party. Once they were in control, they began to secularize the country and undermine its Sunni character. They have worked hard to repress and weaken their traditional enemies. But they haven’t adopted the Jewish tactic of promoting mass immigration. If Syria were a more attractive destination for outsiders, perhaps the Alawis would have tried to import Black Africans the way Muammar Gaddafi did in Libya. Gadaffi used them against his own people, who duly took their revenge on the Blacks when the West helped topple Gadaffi. Men from the Mountains The Alawis are also reminiscent of another minority: the Chechens, who have become famous thanks to the Boston Bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Chechens are a war-like mountain-dwelling ethny who are feared and hated by the neighbours on whom they prey in the Caucasus. Meanwhile, in the Middle East:

Centuries of hostility took their toll on the ‘Alawi psyche. In addition to praying for the damnation of their Sunni enemies, ‘Alawis attacked outsiders. They acquired a reputation as fierce and unruly mountain people who resisted paying the taxes they owed the authorities and frequently plundered Sunni villagers on the plains. John Lewis Burckhardt observed in 1812 that those villagers “hold [the Alawis] in contempt for their religion, and fear them, because they often descend from the mountains in the night, cross the Aaszy [Orontes River], and steal, or carry off by force, the cattle of the valley.” (Daniel Pipes, The Alawi Capture of Power in Syria)

Sweden has recently announced that it will accept all Syrian refugees who apply for asylum there from the civil war, and Germany is doing the same (with some protests by the NPD and others, labeled as exhibiting “paranoia” and as “extremists” by National Public Radio). If this insanity is copied by the United States, the U.S. may well import more Boston Bombers or worse. It certainly import more murderers, rapists and fraudsters. But the refugees won’t have to be Alawi to pose a serious threat: NHS Doctor “Led Extremist Cell in Syria”

An NHS [National Health Service] doctor led a group of Islamic extremists who took a British photographer hostage as he covered the conflict in Syria, the former captive has claimed. John Cantlie said the fighter told him he had taken two years’ leave from a London hospital to travel to the Middle East for holy war. The medic was said to have described his hospital experience in detail and carried NHS medical kit, saying he planned to return to the UK to become a trauma consultant in A&E [Accident and Emergency], according to Mr Cantlie’s account to a newspaper. Last night, MI6 was said to be trying to track down the doctor. (NHS Doctor “Led Extremist Cell in Syria, The Daily Telegraph, 27th August, 2012)

MI6 is the British overseas intelligence agency. Mass immigration by Muslims into Western nations has hugely increased and complicated the work of defending the West against Islamic “extremism.” Conflict has been used as an excuse for the creation of a surveillance state that spies on everyone for the benefit of Israel. Meanwhile, White soldiers’ lives and White taxpayers’ money have been thrown away on futile, resentment-breeding wars in Muslim nations like Iraq and Afghanistan. Lemon and Crushed Mint And what do Western leaders want? More immigration, more Muslims and more war. The U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has recently compared Bashar al-Assad to Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein. But back in February 2009, Kerry took a quite different view of this evil monster:

Kerry and Assad

An astonishing photograph of John Kerry having a cozy and intimate dinner with Bashar al-Assad has emerged at the moment the U.S Secretary of State is making the case to bomb the Syrian dictator’s country and remove him from power. Kerry, who compared Assad to Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein yesterday, is pictured around a small table with his wife Teresa Heinz and the Assads in 2009. Assad and Kerry, then a Massachusetts senator, lean in towards each other and appear deep in conversation as their spouses look on. A waiter is pictured at their side with a tray of green drinks, believed to be lemon and crushed mint. (Kerry’s cosy dinner with Syria’s “Hitler, The Daily Mail, 2nd September, 2013)

Bashar al-Assad was a bloodstained tyrant long before that dinner: he was born into the role as the son of the previous tyrant Hafiz al-Assad. Kerry’s behaviour is puzzling only if you assume Kerry has principles and cares about American interests and Syrian suffering. He doesn’t: he’s a liar and a traitor. He wouldn’t be in high office otherwise. You can hear Kerry’s conceit and arrogance every time he speaks (e.g., his bellowings of certainty that Assad did indeed use chemical weapons when a lot of reasonable people are skeptical), but he isn’t as intelligent as he thinks he is. Expelling the Infiltrators However, he’s certainly intelligent enough to know where the West’s policies of mass immigration and minority empowerment are leading. Syria’s present is our future: fractured nations will descend into civil war. The solution is separation. And one country very close to Kerry’s heart is pursuing that solution. Vulnerable minorities who simply want a better life for themselves and their children are trying to enter the country. Is it welcoming them in like the United States or United Kingdom? Not quite:

Israel confirms plan to deport African migrants to Uganda Interior minister says Israel will set a deadline by which “infiltrators” will have to leave “of their own free will” Israel plans to soon begin deporting migrants from Eritrea and Sudan, who number more than 50,000, back to Africa via Uganda, officials said. Israel regards most of the Africans as illegal visitors in search of jobs, and largely rejects the position of human rights groups that many fled their countries in search of political asylum. A statement late on Thursday from interior minister Gideon Sa’ar said Israel would soon begin a staged process of deporting the migrants, most of whom have crossed the border with Egypt since 2006. … Human rights groups say Israel has jailed hundreds of African migrants and taken other steps to get them to agree to leave the country. A few thousand are believed to have left Israel in the past year since a law enacted in 2012 authorising migrants who lack any official residence permits to be jailed for up to three years, said Sigal Rozen, policy co-ordinator for Hotline for Migrant Workers (HMW), an Israeli human rights group. … A fortified fence along Israel’s border with Egypt’s Sinai has largely stemmed the flow of migrants, who walked across what was a porous frontier at a rate of up to 2,000 a month in 2011. (Israel confirms plan to deport African migrants to Uganda, The Guardian, 30th August, 2013)

Rubin and the Rubes How do Jewish neo-conservatives react to those shocking acts of racism, xenophobia and oppression? They cheer Israel on:

Jennifer Rubin: Tall walls make good neighbors. Mickey Kaus: Walls work. And let the record also show that you are willing to restrict immigration to preserve the ethnic identity of a state and which you would never tolerate in America if Anglo-Saxons said, you know, we don’t want to become a Latino State, we want to be a non-Latino State, so we have to restrict immigration. You would never tolerate it. Jennifer Rubin: That’s because the difference is, America is founded on a different principle. Israel is founded on the principle of being a Jewish state. The Arabs have twenty-two or twenty-three of them, or twenty-nine of them, I lose track. Israel was founded on the premise, that’s what Zionism is – a state of the Jews. And people don’t like it, but that’s what it’s about. America is not founded on the principle of America for White People or America for Europeans. It is founded really on an idea. And that idea, if people are willing to assimilate, and I’m a big advocate of assimilation, should not be restricted on the basis of race or religion or language, as long as they are willing to eventually learn English and be part of the body politic. It’s a completely different situation between the United States and Israel. (American Dream v. Israeli Dream: Jennifer Rubin and Mickey Kaus debate, Steve Sailer blog, 12th May, 2013)

Jennifer Rubin: “Do As Jews Say, Not as Jews Do”

Jennifer Rubin: “Do As Jews Say, Not as Jews Do”

As Steve Sailer points out, Ms Rubin doesn’t appear to know American history:

Personally, I was always under the impression that the reasons for which the Founders founded the United States government are explained in the Preamble to the Constitution: “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” (American Dream v. Israeli Dream, Steve Sailer blog)

One might also point out the campaign by Jewish-dominated intellectual movements to establish the ideology that America is a proposition nation rather  than a European Christian civilization with an White racial core (see The Culture of Critique, Chapters 7 and 8)..

Mass immigration is dispossessing that posterity, turning blessings into curses and replacing liberty with tyranny. Where Syria leads, the West is eagerly following. And with liars and traitors like John Kerry and Jennifer Rubin in control, disaster will be impossible to avoid.
